Hamas has officially responded to former U.S. President Donald Trump’s 20-point peace proposal regarding Gaza. According to reports, the group has accepted several of the points outlined in the plan, while leaving room for further negotiations on the remaining ones. This response has been described by international observers as “positive but conditional,” opening the door for potential dialogue after months of devastating conflict.
Meanwhile, Donald Trump has publicly called on Israel to immediately halt its airstrikes on Gaza, stressing that continued bombardment would undermine chances for a ceasefire agreement. Despite his appeal, Israeli forces have carried out fresh air raids on several areas in Gaza, leaving dozens injured and worsening the humanitarian crisis.
The situation has triggered a wave of international reactions. In Europe and other parts of the world, solidarity with Gaza has grown significantly. Large-scale protests have been organized, particularly after the interception of an international flotilla carrying aid to Gaza by the Israeli navy. Human rights groups have condemned the interception, labeling it a violation of humanitarian efforts.
At the same time, several governments have urged both Hamas and Israel to move towards de-escalation, warning that the region is on the brink of a broader conflict if no ceasefire is reache d soon
